Weekend in Ukarumpa
Last week, our amazingly talented community put on a play, ‘Cinderella’ by Rodgers & Hammerstein. This is my favorite of their plays. It was very fun, I was in line early & got to sit with a family. I love being an adopted Auntie Beverly. Several of the little girls wore their princess dresses, and they danced to the intro music before the play started. The little girl princess in me wanted to get up & dance around with them. I enjoyed the play, and the photo ops following the play. Here is Rachel & Auntie Beverly practice riding in the magical carriage.
Saturday was a quiet day, just doing things about the house. In the afternoon, we had a prayer meeting for needs in our region of PNG. Then dinner with friends, followed by an early night.
Today after church, Karen was over here helping me eat leftovers; then I was at her house for a lovely dinner. I finished packing/repacking. The helicopter leaves in the morning for Walagu.
So, I’ll close and head to bed. More later from Walagu.
