Happiness & Heartbreak

ICU waiting room – a place of immediate family. We never met before, but suddenly we all care about the other families’ critical patient. We share how our patient is doing: therapy, progress, and pray for the one not doing well.
I have rejoiced with the family who are glad their loved one is moving to regular hospital care! And my heart has broken with the huddled, weeping family.
Our world is shrunk down to this part of the hospital, and we hold our fellow citizens. Thanks for praying for us all.
