Eeny, Meeny, Miney, Mo. . .

July 24, 2012

Very early Sunday morning, my mother moved from ICU to telemetry. Telemetry is where cardiac patients wear a small monitor that transmits to a bank of computers monitored by nurses. It is a good progress for Mother. Her next step will be later this week to transition to a rehab hospital. Only, that means that part of today, and tomorrow morning has me ‘shopping’ rehab hospitals. It was not quite like any other shopping that I have ever done.

I did find a hospital that among the ones the doctor recommended, and it is reasonably close to my house, although through some thick traffic. Tomorrow, we will find out if Mother qualifies to go there. Pray for wisdom for us as we go forward.

In Papua New Guinea, the Onobasulu translators are working on first drafting in St. John’s Gospel. Pray for them as they work through the later chapters of the gospel. Literacy work also continues. Pray for the entire community to see the value of this translation & literacy work, and to support the Onobasulu team in practical ways.
