Beverly’s September Update

September 7, 2014

“Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding;
in all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight.”Proverbs 3:5-6 NIV

September 2014

My plans for this year were jam-packed! During the first few months of the year, God helped us to accomplish many things!

We saw God’s Hand in many ways: the literacy building was built. John’s gospel, some of the epistles were translated and some other epistles were recorded, and the Onobasulu continue to draft other epistles.

In June, I had just finished helping teach a course at Ukarumpa, when we got the news that my mom would be needing surgery for a hernia. After much prayer and consulting with trusted advisors, I decided that I needed to come home to Texas for a short season. I am glad to report that my mom had her surgery and is on her way to recovery. Please do pray for her continued recovery. She needs to gain much more strength and stamina.

How is Beverly? I have pushed so very hard these last few months, not always taking the best care of myself. While I am back here in Texas, I am getting some medical tests. Pray that I can get good advice from the doctors and that I can follow that advice well. I also hope to get some personal renewal time.

When do I head back to Papua New Guinea? I hope soon, but I am trusting God for His timing. I want to hear God’s voice saying, “This is my path for you, and this is the timing for this path!” Pray for my heart as I trust and rest in our loving Heavenly Father, who has good plans for my life. Pray for my Onobasulu co-workers as we travel this new path together.

PRAISE POINTS:
* Praise God for my mom’s good surgery and recovery;
* For the opportunity to receive medical assistance that is not readily available in PNG;
* For God’s guidance regarding His timing for my return to PNG.

PRAYER POINTS:
* For wisdom for the doctors helping my mom and I as we both continue to heal;
* For provision from God in work needed on both the literacy office and Walagu airstrip;
* For peace as I trust God for my financial needs in the face of unexpected expenses.

In His Love,

Beverly R. Mosley
