February 6, 2012

I ate my dinner on the back verandah watching the glorious color of the sunset. This was a peaceful way to end a hectic Monday getting started back into translation work in Walagu. Even though I had enjoyed the beautiful day, I would have known it was a lovely evening by the fact that everyone was outside of their houses talking, the kids running around playing. So, I shifted to the front part of my house and sat on the steps. There I was able to sit and visit with a couple of ladies as the kids ran up to greet me, then returned to their play. The moon had risen during the sunset, so we just let ourselves be bathed in the silver light and cool breeze. Eventually the mosquitoes drove us indoors. Then I washed my dishes, took a shower, and headed to bed.
